Bring me the days I cherish forever!!!

Rishab opens his eyes and feels the smell of his wife, Riya . Today is their first anniversary, she hugs him and gives a lovely handmade quilled card with a message written on it.
“I want you to want me.
I need you to need me.
I love you to love me.
I adore you for the happiness that you give me.
Just bring back those old days for me;
The one we will cherish forever,
When we were just you and me...

HAPPY ANNIVERSARY.”

Being a foreign correspondent- A dream come true

If you ask me one profession that is tough and equally exciting I will say ‘Journalism’. It is exciting because it’s the only profession which can create a fire among masses or act like a dove ,spreading message of peace all around and it’s tough because it requires the ability to work under pressure and in long, irregular hours under any condition.

The incomplete Love..

Her phone buzzed, “Coffee at six. Surprise for you”

She dressed elegantly for her first date. They were best friends since childhood and today she will tell him what she feels.

Nervous but anxious, she rehearsed again.

Lost, she came back  from her dreams with his voice, "Hey Meera, meet my love Anjali. Surprised!!!”

P.S- This is my first attempt on flash fiction in just 55 words. Hope you all like it. Suggestions invited.:)

Discrimination a Prejudice!!!

Rahul, an eight years old boy comes from school and asks his mother," When God created all of us equal, why they killed her?" His mother perhaps doesn't know how to answer the quest of the innocent unpolluted mind. He has learnt this lesson today in one of the chapter of moral science. He lost his sister few years back in a Hindu- Muslim riot. Needless to say, he is unaware of the socio-political discrimination existing in the society and hence he is unable to figure out the reason behind that treacherous murder.

True Love

You and me are one of a kind,
You and me are a perfect kind.
We can't do everything forever,
But we can do everything together.

The alarm buzzed. He struggles to find where the watch is and snooze it. But unlike humans the clock rings again after every five minutes and so it was there again the irritating perky sound. Getting up, he rubs his eyes and says “Good Morning dear".

Your destiny in your hands...

“The die is cast, come weal, come woe
Two lives are joined together,
For better or for worse,
the link which naught but death can sever”-Mary Weston
Indeed, a beautiful definition of marriage and a lesson all girls by heart before they step into their new life.

Thank You!!!

Waking up, now that September has ended and I am all excited to celebrate the next two months of festivals and with it the chilling winters.

Though being an Indian by birth and by heart I have always heard and celebrated Dusshera and Diwali but as my awareness increased with my age I came to know about a very simple yet beautiful festival celebrated in the west. Yes, I am talking about the "Thanks giving Day" or may be month which is celebrated in Oct-Nov in various countries.

A word from a Traffic Light....

Hello Friends,

Let me introduce myself. I am a traffic light standing on one of the cross roads of the beautiful city Chennai in India. My thankless job is to show the right direction at the right time and for this I work 24x7.

I have seen various kinds of people in my life and learnt a lot from them. This time   I thought to show you the world from my eyes, the day as I see and the lessons that I learn. Hope you enjoy it.

The Beautiful You...

Yesterday, when I was sitting with my friends in a restaurant I overheard the conversation of two ladies sitting on the next table. They were having chit chat on parties and other usual stuff. Suddenly that lady cited an incident to her friend which made me think of the present nurturing of the young brains. That lady told she went to some school where a six year old girl came to her and said “Aunty, don’t you think your kurta is too loose!!”
I was shocked at the same time amazed to hear that. I mean, how a six year old child can know the meaning of fitting and style. Might be that lady was boasting or might be she is just correct. Now I see young girls discussing on topics like waxing and facials. They have become “saloon vets” even before entering elementary school. Before they can even understand the meaning of being natural they are entering into pseudo world of beautiful fantasies.

ARE MARRIAGES MADE IN HEAVEN???

Ruchika’s father happily announced “This one is perfect”. He was talking about a suitable match for her younger daughter Ruchika. A well educated and qualified independent girl but the only flaw she has is she is of original Indian skin. Yes, she is not fair and that’s the only reason why she was rejected twice by so called “perfect alliance” before.
This time the family do not want to take any chances. Therefore, after all the necessary proceedings they have set up a meeting with the probable groom’s family. Ruchika’s aunt has come from Delhi and she has made her rehearse all the possible question answers which are likely to be asked.
The D-Day has come. Ruchika is made to wear a bright colored saree much to her annoyance but she has to resign in front of her parents.
And the interview comprising of not so’ difficult questions which ideally have ‘not so’ perfect answers begin like this (very similar to a job interview)-

Bitten by Technology Bug???

I was rushing through my Facebook wall that day when I came across one of my wall post. It was among my best posts on FB as it had got some odd 72 likes and even more comments.
It was a very simple funny quote rather I will consider it as a satire on today’s life. It was-“I love my computer because my friends stay in it!!!”

The tinge of PINK....

Girl’s Love PINK, “Yes, we do”. But for boys, for them PINK is strictly a “NO-NO”
“Blue is for Boys and PINK is for girls”. A few years back sometime during my teenage this was the topic of discussion in my group during the recess when we were having a word on what to gift one of our classmate on his birth day. With no clue around I was left wondering about this strange relation.

On an e-Shopping spree...:)

It is all the transcendence of this world that people today have reached the height of maximum luxury upgrading from the old days of their very ancient Stone and Cave age. Technology  has achieved such a tremendous success that the word
“IMPOSSIBLE now says I am POSSIBLE And from this great success list E Commerce has emerged as a bumper bonanza where a person can buy his desired asset at his doorstep without waiting in long queues and obviously no negotiation on  cost.
Online shopping creates a wonderful and keen shopping experience for the buyers who want to get the best out of a product. Now you just have an entire mall in front of you on your computer screen and you can get the best deal sometimes spending even less than what you could actually have done.

Women’s intimate health, should the issues remain hushed or is it time we spoke out?

Well, it happens in most part of the country even today when India boast of moving into 21st century - women are still subjected to obligations for doing house hold chores and dominance of man. No one  can be blamed for it but the society we are brought up into.

Women are still being subjected to pity of some. And when the question of her health arises it is still considered as it should not be discussed openly or in a simple language "its not good or ethical."
