Bitten by Technology Bug???

I was rushing through my Facebook wall that day when I came across one of my wall post. It was among my best posts on FB as it had got some odd 72 likes and even more comments.
It was a very simple funny quote rather I will consider it as a satire on today’s life. It was-“I love my computer because my friends stay in it!!!”

I remember me “googled “those lines long time back. And thinking about it now I feel how sluggish, mechanical and melancholic our lives have become.
There are no emotions left and if at all they exist they are just the different kind of smileys on our wall posts and we all enjoy using them.
Trip down the memory lane, I remember when I was in fourth standard and I had the subject computer science. Its first chapter read the definition of computer something like “Computer is a machine which understands human language and acts on our instructions.”
Ironically, I think now text books should change the definition to “Computer is a machine which human being understands and acts on its instructions.”
Though I never really realized when I got so much addicted but it’s true that if I think of a day in my life without my laptop, my smart phone and without any accessibility to internet it will definitely become the worst nightmare of my life.
I guess we don’t need a heart and a brain at all if their functioning was just limited to think and act. And if that is possible we can easily replace them with the even more intelligent, handy smart phones.

Yesterday only one of my friend told me that she wanted to deactivate her facebook account and guess what was the reply “ No, No don’t do that you have all your contacts in it..”
Urghhhh….Did I mean to say that “Contact” is now the synonym for “Life”???
Yes, it can be!!!We live our life through internet, through Gmail, through Facebook, through Skype or may be anything related to it.Now the only communications left are Android to Android, Blackberry messenger, gmail and skype chats and the latest and the coolest of all “WhatsApp???”
How many of us have actually picked up our landline phones in say 6 months and dialed a number of a very close friend stationed far away from us? I agree we must have done some calls but have we actually written any letters or even any mails to any of our distant relatives???
Answer- A straight forward no. Someone will say you are expecting a damn too much.
Only interaction left with our friends and relatives are liking a wall post, commenting on their pictures, wishing them on FB walls and likewise.
Isn’t it cool? Yeah definitely it is!!!
Only difference is we will have no records of these if to our horror our stylish world of art viz. smart phone or cool laptop gets conked off or screwed and the service engineer tells us we have to format it completely.
I really love reading the birth day cards my sister use to send me during her college days. They inspire me and as I read them I love the special bond we two share. Thanks di for giving those lovely memories which I will cherish throughout my life. Those reminiscence of my past leave me overwhelmed and fill in me inner satisfaction that is hard to find these days.
And I really thank God and my parents for not getting me a computer then; though I wanted it badly. Or else I would not have all those lovely memories still with me.

I use to admire the idea of having all contacts on my computer till the day I forgot my best friend’s birth day because I have not checked my computer’s calendar. I really feel bad about it!!!
Things done are done, I now really need a break from all these innovative and intelligent smart techniques and I really want my friends and family to be close to me not through computers but through real emotions.
I am going to throw this wireless viruses and I am not going to get infected by these technology bugs any more. I am going to be emotional and sensible like a human and not sophisticated, mechanical and robotic like a computer.
And after writing this post the first thing I am going to do is write a letter and post it to my mother and I know how happy she will be.
I am going to come out of this wireless electrical world. Won’t you????

  4. You really make it appear really easy with your presentation however I to find this
topic to be really something which I believe I might never
understand. It kind of feels too complicated and very vast for me.
I am having a look forward for your subsequent post, I will attempt to get the hang of it!
